Important notice to Knapping Mount residents re parking and movement of vehicles

Dear neighbours,
We are currently receiving a large volume and number of deliveries into site, which means on occasion, temporarily closing our site car park. This may result in site vehicles parking on neighbouring streets for short amounts of time, whilst deliveries are accepted safely into site. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and can assure all residents that we are working hard to minimise the impact this has on residents parking and access.  Below is a recent letter sent out to our immediate neighbours regarding movement of vehicles on site over the coming weeks. If you would like to raise any questions or concerns regarding any of this information please contact our project manager Peter Blackburn at peter.blackburn@harryfairclough.co.uk

RESIDENT LETTER, ISSUED 21/09/2016

Please find below important information regarding traffic, access and movement on-site at Knapping Mount over the next 8-10 weeks, affecting use of West Grove Road, Kings Road, St Luke’s Mount and St Luke’s Avenue.

* We currently have restricted access at Gate 2 (St Luke’s Road), due to activities on-site and this will remain the case for the next 8-10 weeks. This may result in some deliveries waiting at the gate entrance on the juncture between St Luke’s Avenue and St Luke’s Mount. We will do our utmost to ensure that all deliveries are made into site as quickly as possible.

* As a result of increased traffic between Gate 1 and 2, we are in the process of providing an additional entrance into site, coming off the corner of St Luke’s Road and Kings Road, for which we have been granted approval from the Highways Agency. In order to ensure safety, during this busy time, all traffic movement will be supervised by a site operative as will any deliveries that are stood waiting to enter site. Roads will be kept clean and clear at all times.

* Limited materials onsite will be moved by forklift from Gate 1 to the new site entrance (coming off the corner of St Luke’s Road and Kings Road) and will require us to cross the protected footpath. The gate will only be open during movement of materials and there will be a temporary diversion of the existing barked footpath onto the Kings Road footpath. Again a site operative will be in place to supervise during all movements.

  1. Hello, thanks for keeping us up to date. It was really good that at the start of the build there would be somebody washing down the road at the end of each day after the trucks had been. Please could you return to doing this for the roads you are using as St Lukes mount in particular resembles a farm track at times, appreciate that the sweeper lorry comes some days but this more spreads the mud around than actually clears it. I’m sure all the people that use this road will appreciate this. Thanks
